Volunteer Needs

DeNeuville recruits volunteers on a regular basis for the following positions

Tutors for GED Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Literature and Arts, Pre-GED, English as a Second Language, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

Volunteers

• to teach a flower arranging class
• to teach a cake decorating class
• to teach a sewing class
• to teach employable skills
  for babysitting
• to answer the phone and the door
• to write grants and/or help with fundraising activities
• for housekeeping
• for yard work
• for building maintenance
• for ongoing computer technical support
• to sort and wrap gifts for students and their families in the Christmas season

Ongoing Sponsor Needs

• $35/mo security alarm fee Sponsor
• $25/mo pest control fee Sponsor
• Childcare sponsors: DeNeuville assists with childcare while mothers’ attend classes.
• Textbook sponsors: GED, computer studies, or English as a Second Language.
• Utility sponsors
• Internet service sponsors: Internet training is $85.50 per month.
• Sponsors for graduation receptions and students' Christmas party
• Christmas gift items for students and their children
• Vehicle donations: Some DeNeuville students have no means to purchase a vehicle
